"Don't Be Outfoxed Online" program
A complement to the book is an internet safety program called Don't Be Outfoxed Online! ™. It offers the perfect supplement to curriculums centered on social issues and internet safety education. There are two versions of the program; a student program designed primarily for third, fourth and fifth graders, and an adult program for parents, grandparents, teachers and care-givers. Through visual effects, interactive discussions and a book reading, children learn social responsibilities associated with online safety. The adult version of Don't Be Outfoxed Online! ™ includes a more in-depth look at predator tactics and prevention tips.
"Anne presents a sensitive subject to school
children masterfully. Through interactive dialogue and
questioning Anne engages students in the topic of internet safety
while entertaining them with a well written story. This was
by far was one of the best author visits I have participated
in."
Jennifer Parsons, 3rd Grade Teacher North
Elementary, Sycamore, Illinois.
"As the Director of Senior Services for a service
agency in DeKalb County I am constantly seeking programs,
presentations and written materials to enhance the lives of those
seniors who visit any of our five activity centers. After hearing
the presentation "Don't Be Outfoxed Online" given by local author
Anne Matalonis during a business meeting, I knew this program,
including her book The Fox Behind The Chatterbox would
give the seniors insight to the dangers of the computer.
Those who grew up without the unique technology of the computer and
all its' components often are intimidated and ask children and
grandchildren for assistance."
Mary Overbey, RN, Senior Services Director, Family
Service Agency of DeKalb County, Illinois.
Here is a sample of the presentation below. Please contact Anne for detailed information on how she can customize the program to fit your audience's needs.
